Celebrate Summer in the city by practicing yoga on the sand and in the sun! RiNo Beach Club is a pop-up urban beach venue located in the heart of the River North Art District (35th & Larimer).
With over 10,000 square feet of sand, a giant pool, local artisans and vendors, we’ll be practicing with feet in the sand and head in the clouds. Class is one hour starting at 10:45am.
Stick around after class and enjoy the pool, bottomless mimosas, local bands, and DJs, the RiNo Beach Club is the perfect way to spend your Sundays!
Please bring a beach blanket or mat (we’ll be practicing in the sand), water and comfortable clothes.

Red Rocks brings you the biggest and best concerts in Colorado while serving up some amazing views. At The Yoga Mat we like to think we come up with some killer playlists so why not combine our vinyasa yoga class at one of the greatest music venues in the country, Red Rocks!
We’ll meet on the upper deck (Red Rocks Main Entrance) overlooking Red Rocks seating and stage 15 – 20 mins before class time.

Combines Yin Yoga and Reiki (hands on energy healing)
Non-heated class. Recommend that you bring clothing that’s a little warmer (socks, warm shirt)
Yin Yoga is a passive & deeply healing form of yoga.
In Yin Yoga we hold postures longer which allows us to move deeper past the muscle and tendons. Yin stretches, lengthens and heals the connective tissues such as the ligaments (connect bone to bone) and the Fascia (the tissue that surrounds everything in the body)
Yin stimulates our Chi (energy) that runs through the connective tissues of our bodies. This helps to remove blockages or stagnant energy. This, in turn, helps vital energy to flow freely throughout the meridians and energy system of our bodies.
Incorporating Reiki Healing allows the energy to be received on a deeper level. Reiki is incredibly relaxing and gentle. Your body will receive exactly what it needs; no more no less. Reiki is an unconditionally loving and supportive form of healing. It works quickly and effectively. It does not require the recipient do anything but show up!
In each Yinki class you will begin with centering breath-work and meditation. Certified Reiki practitioners will infuse you with Reiki (universal energy) as you open into the connective tissues of the body through Yin Yoga. This allows for deep relaxation and the release of mental, emotional and physical stress. To complete the class you will be bathed in the healing sounds of crystal bowls, allowing your body to soak up all of the healing benefits that Yinki has to offer.

Every single student is different with a unique anatomy, strengths and challenges. We’ll take a look at common poses in different body types and how to adjust the poses specifically for each person. Developing a keen eye is key.

Practice Makes Progress Workshop
An intensive look at how to distinguish a clear path to more advanced poses such as arm balances, inversions, and more complex backbends
SUNDAY 8/30 // 9 – 12pm
Arm Balances Workshop
No one should be left out in class when an arm balance is mentioned. We’ll look at a few of the most complex arm balances and break them down into smaller chunks that will become achievable as you practice them over time.

Hip Openers – Pigeon and WAY Beyond Workshop
Open hips mean much more than being able to do pigeon with ease. Open and strong hips make many of the most sought after poses possible. The hip is directly related to the health of the lower back making it an important joint to understand in yourself and in students. A joint with many different movements that can be affected by many different muscles make the hip complex. Time will be spent looking at the anatomy of the hip in lecture in a detailed but easy to understand. We will then look at all the different hip positions and where the limitations and weaknesses may occur as related to asana. By the end students will know how to work towards their goals in their hips wisely.
