Every Saturday at 10:30am we plan a playlist yoga class, picking unexpected soundtracks for your yoga and listening pleasure. We like to keep things interesting and playful and what better way to make a Saturday am awesome than doing a Sun Salute to James Brown “Make it Funky.”
This past weekend we played it Richard Simmons style by “Sweatin to the Oldies” and by oldies I mean 80’s music. I dug through my dresser looking for some awesome neon leggings, poured through my closet dying for a leotard and leg warmers, and wished I had kept any severely dated scrunchies. I came up empty handed, but the class was as classic as a John Hughes movie. Molly Ringwald not included.
Check out our 80’s playlist below and make sure to join us this Saturday for our tribute to the 90’s. Pause the 90210, pull out your acid wash jeans and start stretching for some riveting Marky Mark madness.
Bring your mat, we’ll bring the party.
