Yoga + Wine Events @ Infinite Monkey Winery

The first and third Thursday of each month The Yoga Mat will be hosting an hour long yoga class surrounded by wine barrels and vino at local favorite, Infinite Monkey Theorem Urban Winery (32nd and Larimer St.) Following class we’ll move the party into their Wine Lab for a glass of wine (included in the ticket price). Bring friends, family, co-workers, dates, because this event is not to be missed.

Please bring your own yoga mat.

New Beginnings // A Beginner Yoga 6 Week Series

DATES: Six Saturdays, September 6, 2014 – October 11, 2014

TIME: 8:30am-10:00am

Whether you’ve always wanted to try yoga but felt too intimidated or embarrassed, or if you’re already a yogi that wants to refine your practice and get back to the basics, this is the class for you! We will meet for 6 consecutive weeks at the same time each week for a 90-minute workshop style class. We will focus on a few poses each week, which we will break down in depth with discussion, demonstration, and participation. You will be introduced to the fundamentals of yoga as a whole and upon completion of the series, you will feel confident in your practice and have a solid foundation to build on in public classes. You will receive the support of the teacher and your fellow students in a safe and non-judgmental environment. You will learn about proper alignment, breath work, meditation, and how yoga can be therapeutic physically, mentally, and even spiritually. April is passionate about the many benefits yoga has to offer and is grateful every day to be able to share her love of yoga with others. She believes that through the practice of yoga, there is no limit to how much one can grow and heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually. April has been practicing yoga since 2006 which has helped her to become healthier and stronger, heal from an ankle injury and most
importantly to be able to grow and connect with her spirituality and recognize her life purpose. Her practice is always evolving and she is always learning, which helps her to connect with her students through her own experiences, struggles and successes.

April received her 200 hour Ashtanga Vinyasa and Hatha certification in January 2014 in Rishikesh, India, and is currently continuing her education through Kindness Yoga’s 500 hour teacher training program. Because of her classical training in India, her teaching style is alignment focused with an emphasis on flowing with breath, integrating pranayama and meditation, and turning the focus inward for deeper contemplation. She teaches Vinyasa Flow, Hatha and Beginners Yoga and is available for private lessons.
